DIGITAL INDIA
COVID19,
forced entire world to go for lock down, the lock down started from mid-march and
slowly extended till May, during this period the entire population went through
different challenges, the corporate world dealt with the challenge by Work From
Home idea, schools and institution turned for virtual classes, whereas Indian
Judiciary System had a big challenge, where every work goes single-handed by
papers. Indian Judiciary System was facing a big challenge.
People in
India face challenges happily; Indian judiciary accepted this challenge happily
and positively. Indian Judiciary System went digital. Courtrooms usually are populated,
whereas to save the country from virus, courtrooms turned digital, not only courtrooms
our Indian advocates also happily adopted the digital form, the notices that
were sent.
Where honorable
Supreme Court passed the guidelines for the courts to go for time being
virtual, the hearings should be done through video conferencing as to avoid the
outbreak of the virus , only the urgent matters will be entertained in the
court will minimum people. Due to the situation of COVID19, many of the people
dealing with legal issues were in question; people are dealing with a salary
cut off, job cut off, the force of landlords to pay the rents and many more.
The question
arises in front of the people, that how to contact lawyers, will they entertain
our matter, will they be able to send notices as the postal services are
stopped due to outbreak of the virus and also the fear of social distancing
will the advocates meet and will they give the advice?
Let me tell
you, the answer is yet as said not only the courtrooms have turned digital but
also our advocates have turned digital, in the world of social media and high
use of Whatsapp and mails, advocates have started dealing with the clients
through social media, whereas notices on request of the client are sent in digital
form via e-mail, whereas the advocates noticed that the crowd who are not from the
corporate world and have their own business are not much touched with emails
and have less knowledge about emails, so the advocates have started sending
whatsapp notices to the opponent party, whereas the advocates have also
accepted a reply of notice within the same said period via Whatsapp or mails.
The pandemic
outbreak of the virus has taught us to deal with challenges and also it has
turned our dream to see the Indian Judiciary System in digital form.
So if you
get any digitized legal notice do not avoid it soon get connected to learned
advocate and try to answer it as soon as possible. Avoiding such may take you
into troubles.
